About Course

This comprehensive training program is designed to provide essential knowledge and practical skills required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in emergency situations. The course focuses on recognizing cardiac arrest, providing immediate life-saving care, and maintaining circulation and breathing until professional medical assistance arrives.

Participants will learn the correct techniques for chest compressions, rescue breathing, and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The program emphasizes quick response, proper sequence of actions, and maintaining safety during emergency situations. This course is suitable for individuals in all industries who want to be prepared to respond effectively in life-threatening emergencies.

Course Content

Topic 1: Introduction to CPR and Emergency Response
This topic introduces the fundamental principles of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and its critical role in saving lives during cardiac emergencies. It explains CPR as an immediate life-saving technique used when a person’s heart stops beating or they are not breathing normally. Participants learn the importance of rapid response, early recognition of cardiac arrest, and the need to act quickly to maintain blood circulation and oxygen supply to vital organs. The topic also covers the essential steps involved in emergency response, including assessing the situation, checking for responsiveness, and activating emergency medical services. Emphasis is placed on maintaining personal safety, following a structured approach, and preparing to perform CPR effectively. By understanding these concepts, participants gain the confidence and awareness needed to respond promptly and appropriately in life-threatening situations.

  • Lesson 1: Definition and Importance of CPR
  • Lesson 2: Recognizing Cardiac Arrest
  • Lesson 3: Emergency Response and Calling for Help

Topic 2: CPR Techniques and Procedures
This topic focuses on the correct methods and sequence required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) effectively. It introduces the core components of CPR, including chest compressions and rescue breathing, and explains how these actions work together to maintain blood circulation and oxygen supply to vital organs during cardiac arrest. Emphasis is placed on proper hand placement, compression depth, and maintaining a consistent rhythm to ensure effective compressions. In addition, the topic covers the correct CPR sequence and timing, including the compression-to-breath ratio and the importance of minimizing interruptions during the procedure. Participants learn how to maintain continuous CPR until professional medical assistance arrives or the casualty shows signs of recovery. By understanding and applying these techniques correctly, individuals can significantly improve survival outcomes in emergency situations.

Topic 3: AED Use and Post-Resuscitation Care
An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a life-saving device used during cardiac arrest to analyze heart rhythm and deliver a shock if needed. It is designed to be easy to use, providing clear voice instructions to guide rescuers. When using an AED, ensure the area is safe, turn on the device, and correctly place the pads on the casualty’s chest. Do not touch the person while the AED is analyzing or delivering a shock. Resume CPR immediately after the shock or as instructed. After successful resuscitation, provide post-resuscitation care by placing the casualty in the recovery position if they are breathing normally. Continuously monitor their condition, keep them comfortable, and wait for emergency medical services to arrive.
